BUSINESS BUILDER. ADVISOR TO BUSINESS OWNERS. I LOVE ENTREPRENEURS. BELIEVES BUSINESS PLANNING STARTS YEARS BEFORE A TRANSACTION.

As Director of Business Planning at Coastal Bridge Advisors, Brian Bannon works with business owners to help them prepare for the eventual transition or sale of their companies. Drawing on his own experience as an entrepreneur, business owner and investor, Brian helps clients better understand the factors that can influence the value of their businesses, identify opportunities to strengthen their businesses, prepare for a potential transaction and coordinate the financial planning considerations surrounding a sale.

Brian’s relationship with Coastal Bridge Advisors began as a client. He later joined the firm to help expand its business planning capabilities and bring an owner’s perspective to clients navigating the financial and strategic considerations surrounding a potential business transition.

Brian has spent much of his career building, operating and ultimately selling privately held businesses. He founded Thermaxx Jackets, a manufacturer of removable insulation systems, and grew the company before its sale to Specialty Products & Insulation (SPI) in 2021. Earlier in his career, Brian was involved in growing an environmental clean-up and demolition company, a family business founded by his father in 1986, John Bannon, which was sold in 2018.

Having sat on the owner’s side of the table, Brian understands that selling a business involves much more than negotiating a purchase price. His work at Coastal Bridge Advisors integrates business planning, business value considerations, transaction preparation and the personal financial planning considerations that can accompany an eventual business transition.

Brian lives in Miami and summers in Milford, Connecticut with his wife, Maria. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and pickleball, and striving to reach 12,000 steps by noon each day.
